The spreadsheet that runs the business
Fourteen tabs, a few macros, and one person who knows which cell not to touch. That becomes a small web app with logins and a history of who changed what. The numbers still come out the same.
Customers phoning to ask "where's my order?"
The office answers the same status question twenty times a day. A simple customer portal shows the status straight from the system you already update, and the phone goes quiet.
Paper forms in the truck
Crews fill in paper forms on site and the office retypes them at the end of the week. A phone app works offline in the field and syncs when there's signal. Nobody retypes anything.

Questions
Who owns it?
Once your project is paid in full, you get a lifetime licence to use the software we build you in the product we built it for. Change it, improve it, or have another developer maintain it, all without asking us. What you can't do is resell it or lift pieces out to use in or sell as other products. We keep ownership of the underlying tech.
What do you build it on?
Standard, boring technology that plenty of developers know. Nothing exotic, so you're never stuck with us.
Where does it run?
On your infrastructure or ours. If it's ours, monitoring and upkeep are part of the deal.
What if Wes is unavailable?
Everything is documented from day one so another developer could pick it up, and nothing we ship needs us around to keep running.
